Best sushi in St Matthews by far. Super friendly employees. Great food. Small inside but never feels crowded. Never have to wait long for food. Quick to order to go as well. If you enjoy sushi, try this place.

We ordered half the rolls on the menu. All just okay. Most of them using way too much spice to overpower them completely. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad by any means, but nothing more than elevated and plated supermarket "sushi."
I had a full conversation with the owner in Korean and we actually chatted about how the Korean restaurants in town suck, to which she told me that most people in this town aren't really in to it, so they all opened "Japanese" places. This is common in most cities, so don't get your head twisted.
It's a solid go-to if you're craving fast food "sushi". -

Sushi was okay (Three Star), restaurant setting was average (Three star), however service was friendly and attentive (Four star), which drive this overall rating.
The menu we received was worn and a little hard to read as a result of both the lighting in the place and reflection off the plastic cover. We started out with an order of edamame ($5) and a then settled on a few rolls. I'm not a fan "fried" in my sushi so it seemed to quickly narrow down the selections from the menu. Went with the Spicy Tuna ($8), custom made Salmon Roll with Spicy Tuna ($9) and California Roll ($7). They seemed to be lacking in flavor. In fact, my wife actually took out the salt shaker for the CA roll.
It was okay. Just not on the top of my sushi options in the area. -

Sat at sushi bar. The cook was awesome and friendly. Don't let the hours on the door fool you. They really close and kick you out at 930pm. We could and would of had more-but they were ready to close. It was interesting to watch the rolls being made-fresh ingredients. Not a good place to go for late night (around 8pm)

Wow!! Osaka is back! Everything we had was fresh and yummy and saucy and so so delicious. I'm glad it's back to it's five star rating (in my opinion heehee). I tried something new tonight - the mini egg rolls. They were really good. Light and crunchy. I hadn't tried the salmon teriyaki before either which was a treat. Very satisfying with its sizzling goodness. The teriyaki sauce was just right on the sweetness level too.
